To create some charms from PMC, roll a very small bit into a ball, then roll it out onto your work surface. Press a small stamp, such as this leaf, into the clay.

Punch a hole into each charm and lay them out to dry as well. When the clay is dry, and before firing it, file off any big burs with a metal file. This piece is supposed to look old and distressed, so don't worry about making it perfect!

After they have dried and been fired, scrub them with dish soap and a wire brush.

I like to patina all of my findings and elements at once. Here, I am using liver of sulfur and will blacken my PMC pieces as well as some silver seed beads, jump rings and some sterling wire. Dip a piece in for a few seconds, pull it out and look at it, then dip it more if you want it darker. I want this one to be dark.
